Product Description
The trommel removes small contaminants such as glass, metals, wood, paper/cardboard, and others in our PET washing line before the plastic bottles are granulated. On top of its applications in PET recycling, the trommel is often found to be used in municipal waste separation.
As whole PET bottles enter the slow rotating trommel (rotates around 6-10 RPM), flaps on the interior of this cylindrical mesh tunnel continuously flip and guide the PET bottles in a forward motion. Small pieces of unwanted contamination such as broken glass falls through the mesh screen and is collected while holes on the trommel screen are small enough so PET bottles do not fall through.
